opera mini for your phone

Most people have heard (or possibly used) the Opera Browser for desktop computers, it's very solid and extremely well made, but for some reason has never majorly taken off as much as browsers like firefox.

A nice little niche market that it is burrowing into however, is phone browsing. Most mobile phones these days, come inbuilt with a very cut-down browser, which often doesn't support even basic HTML/CSS, and really is useless for most tasks.

Opera-Mini, however - is a full-featured browser, and renders just about every page exactly as you would expect it to on your desktop computer. To make it easier to navigate pages using a small phone screen, Opera shows you a "zoomed out" version of the page, and you simply zoom in on the areas you want to view up closer. It also supports landscape view for "wider" pages.

The other brilliant thing opera-mini does, is compresses your data via the Opera servers before it reaches your phone, which leads to absolutely huge savings on bandwidth. Along with this, they also parse basic javascript before it gets to your phone, which saves the phone having to crunch away at it. They support a massive range of phones, so chances are yours will be compatable.
