A pretty amazing re-design over at msnbc. Cameron Moll played a part in it, and has a great write up on how the design progressed throughout its various stages, it's quite an interesting read. On a similar note, there is also a nice little piece on the official msnbc blog describing a bit of the technology, limitations and how it effected users.

One thing I find intriguing is that they re-designed (a little) and tweaked the logo, something that is usually a huge no-no in design, especially with strong logos, looks great nevertheless!

The roll-overs can be a little distracting as there are just so many of them, but overall I find the site extremely well designed and as refreshing change, advertising is nicely placed, rather than overpowering the whole page. I don't know how this effects clickthru rates, but it certainly is appreciated as a reader.
