I just wanted to make mention again of just how great googles webmaster tools are. I know this sounds like an advertisment for google, but honestly, I just think that perhaps a lot of website owners don't realise that they can even do these things.

Some of the more notable features are:

• Enables you to choose your prefered style of domain (i.e. gavinbenda.com.au as opposed to www.gavinbenda.com.au) when displayed in search results.
• View stats on search terms, and check on your website index status.
• Manage your google sitemaps directly.
• Check how many people are subscribed to RSS feeds in google reader.
• Communicate with google, and manage inclusions, crawl rates, etc.

Apart from that, the only other thing that I'm surprised isn't there, is the Page Rank of various sites. If you havn't checked it out on your own site, I highly recommend giving it a go!
